Job summary

Une grande firme de droit recherche un Recovery Services Clerk pour la préparation des documents légaux dans le cadre d'actions de vente. Le poste est permanent et à temps plein, avec des responsabilités incluant la gestion des dossiers, la liaison avec diverses parties, et la préparation de rapports détaillés. Les candidats doivent posséder un diplôme d'assistant administratif, cinq ans d'expérience, et être bilingues en français et en anglais. Un environnement de travail hybride est proposé.

PROFILE

Responsible for the preparation of the necessary legal documentation for power of sale action utilizing an advanced power of sale computer system, which includes managing a heavier file load. This position receives some direction or guidance; most tasks and objectives are accomplished independently. This is a full-time permanent position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receiving, reviewing and opening files, including entering data.
  • Prepare, issue and serve all documents necessary from inception of file to closure of file.
  • Liaise with all internal and external parties involved with the proceedings, including preparation of all correspondence.
  • Monitor the various steps throughout the proceedings, dealing with any issues that may arise.
  • Review all correspondence and respond.
  • Receive and process all monies received in connection with the file.
  • Prepare detailed reports to all necessary parties (internal and external) and enter information of complete file progress on the Debt Recovery Network (diarize, scan, and upload every telephone conversation, voice message, email message, or document relating to each file).
  • Order Accounting report and ensure zero balance owing on account before closing file. Prepare file for storage and send to storage.
  • May act as a “go to person” for junior members of the team to provide direction and guidance.
  • Any other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five years experience as a Recovery Services Clerk.
  • Legal Administrative Assistant or Administrative Assistant Diploma/Certificate.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other Firm members, with the aptitude to take care of clients’ needs in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Capacity to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
  • Produce a high quality and quantity of work product, occasionally under tight timelines.
  • Able to prioritize and to redefine priorities when necessary.
  • Handle stress in a business-like manner.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bilingualism (French/English) required
