We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Senior Real Estate Manager to join our Real Estate team in Langley, BC.

Reporting to the General Manager, Real Estate, you will be responsible for the management of real estate transactions in Pattison Food Group’s (PFG’s) existing portfolio of store locations as well as the implementation of the company’s real estate growth strategy. The primary focus in this role will be site selection, land purchases, lease negotiations for new stores and lease renewals will be the primary focus. The Senior Manager will also assist real estate property managers where necessary – leveraging existing landlord relationships to achieve successful outcomes for PFG.

You will be responsible for:

• Negotiating all lease terms for new locations and renewals of existing leases.
• Providing strategic support to the Real Estate team to achieve organizational objectives.
• Establishing trusted and credible relationships with landlord, developer and brokerage communities.
• Being a source of market information – both in terms of tracking new opportunities and competitor movements.
• Working closely with PFG’s store development team and landlords to ensure that new store planning and construction projects proceed on a well-coordinated basis.
• Partnering and collaborating closely with key internal senior leaders to provide guidance and understanding of the retail market real estate environment.
• Assisting property managers where necessary in carrying out their property management function.
• Attending conferences, visiting store locations and travelling to support market development activities as needed.
  
  
  

You have:

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business or related field.
• A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a retail leasing role.
• Expertise and experience in all aspects of commercial real estate, including lease negotiations and landlord engagement.
• A comprehensive understanding of contracts, retail lease documents, and purchase and sale agreements.
• An excellent understanding of the Canadian retail landscape.
• A strong business and financial acumen.
• A valid driver’s licence and vehicle with the ability to travel on an as needed basis.

Compensation Details:

$97,875.00 - $130,500.00

The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
