Job summary

Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) seeks a Reactor Chemistry and Corrosion Manager to lead a specialized team delivering chemistry monitoring, analysis services, and research initiatives supporting reactor performance and safety at Chalk River, Ontario. This on-site leadership role requires extensive experience managing science programs, people, and budgets, with a focus on safety and collaboration.

Qualifications

Degree from a University of recognized standing; a Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Surface Science, Materials Science, or a related field is required.
Ten+ years of scientific/technical project leadership experience.
Experience in innovation and program/project management, including managing people, processes, customers and financial performance.

Responsibilities

Executing projects and programs to meet customer requirements, including nuclear industry priorities.
Prioritizing resources to support program delivery and business objectives.
Leading collaborations to expand programs and capabilities.
Developing commercialization opportunities to drive program growth.
Providing aspirational leadership and fostering cross-team collaboration.
Ensuring safe, compliant branch operations and promoting safety culture.
