Job summary

Hitachi Rail Canada Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Toronto to lead complex projects from planning to contract closure. You will supervise project teams, manage budgets, and coordinate with customers to ensure delivery and satisfaction.

You will bring 15+ years in aerospace/related fields, CBTC signaling expertise, and a PMP/IPMA certification. This full-time role requires presence in the GTA and agile cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 15 years of experience in related industry or from technical/aerospace field.
• 5–10 years as a project manager with people management / leadership experience.
• University degree in Engineering (Electronic, Telecommunications, or Informatics) or equivalent.
• Strong technical expertise in CBTC railway signaling system.
• Previous experience leading international projects in a matrix environment.
• PMP or IPMA certification.

Responsibilities

• Overall project supervision and P&L ownership.
• Coordinate resources allocations within projects and monitor performance.
• Drive project execution and control until contract closure.
• Manage performance, costs, schedule, quality, risks and opportunities.
• Interface with key customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Support transformation plans and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
• Develop and train project skills to sustain capability.
