Position Overview

Under the general supervision of the Charge Technologist, Vascular Interventional, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the Senior Technologist, Vascular Interventional is responsible for assisting radiologists and other physicians in the performance of vascular-interventional, and other radiological procedures; participating in student teaching program; assisting with orientation of registered technologists; the performance of assigned area; and performing other related duties as directed.

Experience
  • One (1) year recent experience as a General Duty Technologist in Radiology.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Successful completion or present enrolment in the CAMRT accredited course in Interventional Radiology I, with agreement to complete Interventional Radiology II within one (1) year of commencement of position or a time mutually agreed upon between the employee and the employer.*

*Note: If there are no applicants meeting the Interventional Radiology I course requirements, consideration will be given to applicants meeting the enrolment eligibility criteria. The successful applicant must enrol on IR I at the next available opportunity or at a time mutually agreed upon between the employee and employer. Successful completion of IR II must be achieved within two (2) years from commencement in position or at a time mutually agreed upon between the employee and the employer.

NOTE: AT THIS TIME, INTERVENTIONAL TRAINING WILL NOT BE PROVIDED.

Certification/Licensure/Registration
  • Must be a member of the CAMRT in good standing.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Mature and professional manner.
  • Good knowledge of radiographic theory and practical.
  • Demonstrated evidence of teaching skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to maintain patient information on a confidential basis.
Physical Requirements
  • This position is non-conforming, may include evenings, weekends and associated statutory holidays.
