Compensation: The base annual salary range for this full-time role is between $138,000 to $190,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target range for new hire base salary across all Canadian locations. Actual compensation may vary outside of this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to a candidate's qualifications including relevant education and training, competencies, experience, geographic location, and business needs. Base pay is only one part of the total compensation package. Full time roles are eligible for equity and benefits. Base pay is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Senior Quantum Algorithm Developers at Photonic are part of the Quantum Algorithms team, working with the Fault Tolerance team to develop advanced quantum algorithms for distributed fault-tolerant quantum computers, and to analyze the resources needed for implementation. Your expertise in quantum algorithms and resource estimation for applications like quantum chemistry, finance, and quantum machine learning will contribute to the co-design of our quantum processing stack, essential for developing commercially valuable quantum computers.
This role focuses on performing quantum resource estimation on algorithms tailored for Photonic’s fault-tolerant hardware. By implementing new algorithms, estimating resources, and optimizing algorithms to reduce runtime and qubit requirements, your work will influence hardware and software design, testing, and execution.
You will collaborate with scientists, engineers, and business teams, enjoying the challenge of learning new technologies and science, while applying your algorithm development expertise, creativity, and open-mindedness to build scalable quantum systems.
