CIBC's Quantitative Research Team in Toronto seeks a Quantitative Research Analyst to develop systematic investment strategies across equities and fixed income. Qualifications

• Experience using Python and SQL for quantitative research and modelling.
• Strong foundation in statistics, econometrics, and data science techniques.
• Familiarity with financial data platforms and data wrangling for research.

Responsibilities

• Quantitative Research & Modelling – develop and validate models for systematic strategies.
• Data Analysis & Insights – analyze large datasets to identify patterns and insights.
• Research Support – translate ideas into production-ready analytics and findings.
• Technology & Tools – maintain research codebases in Python/SQL.
• Communication – present findings to diverse technical and non-technical audiences.
