Role: Senior QA Engineer- Manual (Insurance Domain)

Duration: Long Term

Location: Canada- Remote

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineerwith 6–8 years of strong manual testing experience, particularly in web applications within the Insurance domain. The ideal candidate should be self-driven, capable of independently handling testing responsibilities, and have hands-on experience in SQL queries, API testing (Postman or equivalent tools), and test automation frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently plan, design, and execute test cases for web-based applications.
• Ensure quality and performance of insurance domain applications through thorough manual testing.
• Perform API testing using tools like Postmanor similar.
• Write and optimize SQL queriesfor data validation and backend testing.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members to ensure test coverage.
• Contribute to test automation development; prior experience in test automation is mandatory.
• Working knowledge or hands-on experience with Playwrightis a plus.

Required Skills:

• 6–8 years of manual testing experience with a strong QA mindset.
• Good exposure to web application testingand Insurance domain workflows.
• Strong knowledge of API testingand tools like Postman.
• Good understanding of SQLfor database validation.
• Proven experience in developing or maintaining automated test scripts.
• Familiarity with Playwrightis an added advantage.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with other automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, etc.).
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
