Upgrade, Inc. is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to architect and build test automation infrastructure. You will work with product teams to design services, ship them to production, and own the automation stack.

This is a build-focused role, not traditional QA, with collaboration across engineering to improve productivity. This fully remote position is open to candidates based in Canada or the US. Expect to design agentic solutions, automate workflows, and scale testing across

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years building production software with test infrastructure and developer tooling.
• Proven track record designing and shipping agentic test automation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with microservices and Kubernetes in production.

Responsibilities

• Design and own automation framework for functional and performance testing.
• Build agents to automate QA/workflows and remove engineering friction.
• Create applications and services automation depends on, deploy and operate in production.
• Iterate demos from prototypes with feedback until mature and monitored.
• Identify gaps and drive solutions across existing frameworks and tools.
