Job summary

Jobtailor in Toronto, ON is seeking an experienced QA Analyst to lead manual testing within a product team, while progressively driving automation and quality goals across the development lifecycle.

You will design test plans, create test cases, execute integration, system, functional and UAT tests, mentor junior analysts, and collaborate with developers, product managers and designers to improve processes and ensure quality across releases.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA experience focusing on manual testing within a product pod.
• Experience across all testing lifecycle phases: requirement analysis, test design, execution, automation.
• Strong knowledge of Agile, DevOps, and modern testing trends.
• Experience with automation scripting and collaborating with developers-in-test.

Responsibilities

• Perform upstream testing and analysis to prevent bugs from entering the product.
• Lead automation efforts by creating and maintaining automated test scripts using industry-standard tools.
• Report, track, document, prioritize, and manage defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers on quality goals and requirement analysis.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior QA analysts.
• Evaluate and improve QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test reports.
• Execute integration, system, functional, and UAT testing end to end.
• Provide test reports to Product Managers and QA Managers.
• Promote ownership, shift-left methodologies, and radical feedback in scrum ceremonies.
• Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions to promote skill development and best practices
