Job description

Iris's direct client, one of Canada’s Top 5 financial institutions, is looking to hire a Senior Python Developer (Backend Development) for a long-term contract opportunity in Halifax, NS. Please respond with your most recent resume if interested.

Role : Senior Python Developer (Backend Development)

Duration : Long Term Contract (12-24+ Months)

Must-Have Skills :

• Strong proficiency in Python backend development with solid coding experience, including familiarity with frameworks such as Django or Flask.
• Excellent Python coding skills utilizing Object-Oriented Programming.
• Experience with version control systems, especially Git.
• Experience with data transformation processes.
• Experience building REST APIs and/or GraphQL.
• Knowledge of MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases.
• Experience with Settlement and Clearing processes (highly preferred).
• Experience working in the Financial Services domain (highly preferred).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
