US Tech Solutions is seeking an Application Developer - Sr Python Engineer for a project-based vendor integration initiative in Toronto. The role focuses on designing and maintaining secure Python microservices and APIs, wiring systems via REST/gRPC, and modernizing data platforms across Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, ADLS, Azure Data Factory, Airflow, Azure SQL, and Unity Catalog.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience including enterprise Python.
• Experience with REST/gRPC APIs and modern data platforms.
• Proficiency deploying services with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong data engineering capabilities using PySpark and Azure Databricks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, document, and maintain secure Python microservices using FastAPI.
• Build RESTful, gRPC, data-ingestion and event-driven APIs.
• Deploy and operate services with Docker/Kubernetes; use Redis and Kafka where appropriate.
• Create reusable frameworks and orchestration patterns to improve delivery quality.
• Translate complex requirements into production-ready solutions with tech partners.
• Build and optimize data solutions using PySpark, Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, ADLS, and Airflow.
• Troubleshoot production issues, tune performance, and support releases.
• Implement testing, monitoring, compliance, and reliability practices.
