We are working with a major international agricultural trading house that is offering an exciting opportunity for a senior pulses trader to join their team in Canada.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

• In charge of a self-sourced portfolio, broadening activities across a range of existing customers.
• Regular interaction with customers to ensure a smooth customer experience.
• Costing for any sales to factor in any expenses that the company might incur while transacting, such as finance and logistics costs.
• Ability to access and analyze market relative data with a clear understanding.

Key Qualifications / Experience

• 7-10 years of merchandising experience with a deep understanding of pulses products; peas, lentils, chickpeas, and plant proteins (pea protein concentrates and isolates).
• Relationships with potential customers such as food manufacturers and wholesalers, particularly in the US food market.
• Honed understanding of market trends, segmentation, and pricing across a range of products.
• Good understanding of marketing and product positioning to attain higher values for trades.
• Strong written, communication, and presentation skills.
