About the Senior Property Accountant opportunity

This role is a key contributor to the financial operations of our Property Accounting division. You’ll be responsible for preparing monthly financial review packages, managing journal entries and A/R records, and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes. You’ll also collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate reporting and efficient collections.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly Ancillary Services Financial Review packages.
  • Record monthly journal entries with complete supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate and review annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for ancillary revenue and utility chargebacks.
  • Analyze antenna matrix data and SAP entries for accuracy.
  • Provide variance commentary on cable and laundry revenues.
  • Recommend improvements to accounting procedures and policies.
  • Review and analyze A/R reports for antenna, parking, and other ancillary contracts.
  • Collaborate with Ancillary and Property Accounting teams to resolve outstanding balances.
  • Provide financial guidance and respond to queries from internal teams and auditors.
  • Support system enhancements and participate in special projects as assigned.
What do you need to succeed?
  • 3–5 years of full-cycle accounting experience, preferably in property management or a related industry.
  • Degree in Accounting or Business; CPA enrollment or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required; SAP experience is an asset.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
