Senior Property Accountant – Vancouver

Our client, a fast-paced and rapidly growing Property Management company, is looking for aSenior Property Accountantto join their dynamic team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will play a critical role in full-cycle accounting, ensuring the accurate and timely completion of financial records and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow analyses.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage full-cycle accounting processes for a portfolio of properties, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures while identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities in collaboration with the Controller.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support property management operations.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA designation (completed or near completion) is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of property accounting experience, including CAM reconciliations.
- Proficiency in property management software such as Spectra or Yardi.
- Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a keen attention to detail.
