  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Direct communication with clients.
  • Preparation of annual budgets and reforecasting.
  • Preparation of rental and recovery billings.
  • Cash analysis and distributions to owners.
  • Tenant dispute resolution.
  • Manage, analyze, and audit tenant accounts for accuracy.
  • Present revenue and expense variance explanations monthly.
  • Analyze tenant escalations for payments and adjustments.
  • Collaborate with departments to obtain information for financial statements.
  • Analyze and prepare depreciation and fixed asset schedules.
  • Monitor and report on capital expenditure programs.

Job Description

Kipling is seeking a Supervisor of Multifamily Accounting to oversee a growing real estate portfolio and accounting team in Toronto, ON.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise property accountants and review accounting and reporting requirements, including:
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and working papers;
  • Direct communication with clients;
  • Preparation of annual budgets and reforecasting;
  • Preparation of rental and recovery billings;
  • Cash analysis and distributions to owners;
  • Tenant dispute resolution;
  • Manage, analyze, and audit tenant accounts for accuracy and discrepancies;
  • Present revenue and expense variance explanations monthly;
  • Analyze tenant escalations for payments and adjustments;
  • Collaborate with departments to obtain information for financial statements;
  • Analyze and prepare depreciation and fixed asset schedules;
  • Monitor and report on capital expenditure programs and tenant improvements;
  • Liaise with Property Manager.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Professional designation or enrollment (CPA, CA, CGA);
  • 5+ years experience in property management, multifamily, or residential real estate;
  • Strong attention to detail and deadline management;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Yardi knowledge is an asset.
