Job description

We want to make a difference and help heal the World. We have an immediate opening for a Senior Projects & Programs Manager. This position is available in Calgary, AB.

How we plan on keeping you busy:

· Manage programs that involves external parties and manage internal projects

· Deliver high-impact communication to executive leadership, including regular reporting of project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.

· Monitor project scope, schedule, resources and budget to ensure all remain on track with the contract and with financial performance targets.

· Aid in the development and maintenance of key project performance indicators for CMO/CDMO specified metrics, ensuring that the KPIs are within scope of project contract.

· Aid in the review of Master Service Agreements and Confidentiality Agreements.

· Develop and manage key raw materials supply inventory, ensuring that adequate supplies of proprietary raw materials are always available to support our projects/production campaigns.

· Serve as the escalation point for project issues to internal and external stakeholders, as appropriate.

· Proactively identify and resolve conflicts and schedule issues as needed.

· Provide leadership to core project team(s) by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.

· Prepare stakeholder presentations to communicate technical progress, challenges and key decisions

· Utilize a strategic level of technical and operational program knowledge to engage operational leadership and provide proactive clarity to all contributors during all key project inflection points to drive the best potential outcome.

· Other duties as assigned.

What will help you get here:

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, biotechnology, or related field required: Master’s degree or PhD preferred.
  • PMP certified
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience in biopharmaceutical project management, preferably with exposure to vaccines, biologics, or mRNA platforms.
  • Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional projects across preclinical, clinical, regulatory, and CMC functions.
  • Strong understanding of drug development processes and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven ability to work independently and lead teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools

Working Conditions

  • Works in an office-based environment using technology for extended periods of time
  • Is expected to coordinate and communicate regularly with internal and external parties, including CROs, CMOs, and consultants.
