Qualifications

Environmental Due Diligence and Remediation — Barrie, ON

The Senior Project Technologist position is ideal for someone seeking career advancement and professional growth, including an opportunity to develop into a Project Manager role. The ideal candidate will be familiar with relevant Ontario regulations and have at least 3–5 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry.

Responsibilities
  • Perform Phase I/One and II/Two Environmental Site Assessments including soil, groundwater and soil vapour sampling in support of municipal redevelopment approvals and Record of Site Condition filings.
  • Monitor underground storage tank removal programs and other remediation activities.
  • Assist in the training and mentorship of junior/intermediate project technologists.
  • Prepare and edit technical reports, including the development of conceptual site models.
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to develop and maintain positive relationships.
What You Bring To The Pinchin Team
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science or Engineering and/or Diploma in Environmental Science.
  • 3–5 years of related experience, preferably in Ontario
  • Professional designation, such as EIT, P.Eng., P.Geo., CET, etc. (or working towards) is considered an asset.
  • Excellent writing, editing, technical and organizational skills along with the ability to problem solve
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a team environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Ontario Regulation 153/04
  • Experience with Excess Soils work under Ontario Regulation 406/19
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
  • Availability to travel for work when required.
  • Availability to work outside core business hours.
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance & personal vehicle is required (work related travel expenses will be compensated)
