Job Description

• Plan, execute, and oversee construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including contractors and suppliers, to maintain project alignment.
• Monitor project progress and performance, providing regular updates and reports to senior leadership.
• Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage project resources effectively, including labour, materials, and equipment.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors and service providers as needed.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the project team.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Project Manager should have:

• A strong understanding of construction processes, project management methodologies, and best practices.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects within the business services industry.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills to guide diverse teams effectively.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools to track and report progress.
• Familiarity with regulatory and safety standards in the construction field.
• A proactive mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
• 8+ years of experience with a General Contractor (not a developer) on mid-to-large commercial projects
• Minimum 5+ years in a direct Project Manager role with a proven track record of delivering successful builds
• Hands-on experience managing projects from design phase to final completion
• Demonstrated Construction Management (CM) conversion experience (CCDC 5A/5B → CCDC 2)
• Expert knowledge of Construction Management processes and delivery models
• Advanced skills in budgeting at all levels (Class D, B, Tender) and a strong understanding of the tendering process
• Proficiency in risk management, opportunity identification, and tender recap preparation
• Skilled in MS Project scheduling, site logistics planning, and methodology development
• Strong forecasting and financial reporting abilities to keep projects on time and on budget
• Valid driver's license and ability to balance both office and site work
