Position Description : Oversee multiple large-scale construction projects and teams; manage technical, administrative, and training support for project development, with emphasis on project engineering in collaboration with the Operations team. This is an in-person role.

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage multiple projects and support Operations teams with engineering insights, knowledge, direction, and support.
  • Perform constructability reviews during Preconstruction and assist in preparing estimates.
  • Participate in project tenders, bid leveling, scope reviews, and award meetings.
  • Oversee execution of client contracts.
  • Attend Operational Review Meetings (ORM) and Owner Architect Contractor (OAC) meetings.
  • Engage with Architects and Engineers on construction-related topics.
  • Review Project Execution and Quality Control Plans.
  • Participate in project start-up and maintain oversight of procedures.
  • Attend staffing meetings and ensure safety, ethics, and compliance adherence.
  • Review and monitor project schedules and forecasting.
  • Conduct site visits and assist with risk management.
  • Manage QC inspections and ensure compliance with contract documents.
  • Develop, train, and evaluate project staff.
  • Stay current on value-added services and new technologies.
  • Share best practices and procedures across projects.
  • Lead operational meetings and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain up-to-date project boards and closeout procedures.
  • Create detailed project checklists emphasizing risk management.
  • Manage off-site document storage.
  • Attend industry conferences for new technology insights.
  • Conduct performance reviews with direct reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Architecture; minimum 8 years of building construction experience or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, and engineering principles.
  • Advanced understanding of construction methods and materials.
  • Leadership and management experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methods and lean principles.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Advanced project management skills, capable of managing multiple projects.
  • Approachable and effective communicator at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Demands :

Frequent sitting, handling objects, reaching, talking, hearing, and computer use. Occasional mobility and travel. Ability to lift up to 23 kg occasionally.

Work Environment :

Combination of office and construction site work. Exposure to noise, mechanical hazards, weather, and electrical risks. Adherence to safety policies required.
