The City of Vancouver is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee street cleaning services for the FIFA World Cup 26. Main Purpose and Function
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overall project management and supporting the detailed planning and delivery of additional street cleaning infrastructure and services for the FIFA World Cup 26 Vancouver.

This position liaises with Engineering Services’ Project Management team supporting preparations for the event to identify and communicate requirements to Sanitation Operations, and work closely with Sanitation Operations and Solid Waste Services staff to support the development and implementation of operations plans, including supporting the sourcing and deployment of equipment and temporary infrastructure required. This position is also responsible for developing, sourcing and managing a supplemental recycling program delivered by one or more non-profit or social enterprise organizations. The position is expected to provide planning, strategy, coordination, risk identification and management, budget tracking, and overall project management. Aspects of projects and related work may contribute to decisions that may have significant operational and financial implications.

Where operationally appropriate and subject to change, the City of Vancouver has a Flexible Work Program. This program allows staff to work a hybrid work week from locations that are a daily commutable distance from their work at a City worksite. At this time this position is eligible to be part of the Flexible Work Program.
