About the Opportunity

The Sr. Project Manager reports to the Manager of Project Services and will support the operations of the Quality Improvement, Project Management Office (PMO) as well as Executives, Directors and Program Sr. Directors to which they are assigned. They support portfolio prioritization and lead large, very complex, strategically significant projects. They provide portfolio management services as strategic partners with their assigned areas. They also support organization-wide education, training and development on the topic of project and change management, enabling managers and leads to support smaller, lower complexity projects. Additionally, this leadership position ensures that all activities within their responsible area are supported by the NSH mission, vision and values, and aligns with the corporate strategic plan, the portfolio strategic plan and project-specific annual operation plans.

This is a Hybrid position and is eligible for Remote (work from home) and On-Site work privileges

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Undergraduate degree required,Master’s degree an asset
  • Minimum of 10 years’ leadership experience in private or public industry, project management, programs and services required
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required
  • Extensive knowledge and skills in project management methodologies required.
  • Project Management experience in a complex health care organizational environment preferred
  • Certified Health Executive (CHE) certification an asset
  • Organizational Change Management certification an asset
  • Strong knowledge of health care issues
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills with the ability to multi-task to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal, written communication and influencing skills
  • Experience in leading teams of staff with indirect accountabilities to other operational units
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to execute through effective delegation, motivation and oversight
  • Experience in data analytics
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to develop and establish financial policies and procedures
  • Clearly communicates the NS Health vision, mission and values
  • Experience in working with patient care leaders
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours
  • Permanent, full-time position, 75 hours bi-weekly
Compensation and Benefits

$46.36 - $57.95 Hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
