Job Summary :

As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the planning and execution of projects within the Payments line of business—from inception to delivery. This role emphasizes technology, so candidates with a proven track record of delivering complex technology projects in fast-paced environments are preferred.

What you'll be doing :

1. Provide leadership to project team members and act as an effective project manager to ensure project success.
2. Leverage project team members and data stewards to plan and deliver operational guidelines and improve data quality.
3. Establish and oversee project governance for data-related projects, ensuring team and committee involvement.
4. Coordinate data governance sessions and ensure effective implementation and ongoing management.
5. Manage project scope, timeline, and budget throughout the project lifecycle.
6. Create and adjust project plans in consultation with stakeholders to meet objectives, managing scope, quality, time, and cost trade-offs.
7. Provide project status reports and operational updates to senior management.
8. Facilitate change management and decision-making processes.
9. Develop and implement project risk management plans.
10. Assign work within the company and to external contractors, providing instructions and guidance.
11. Ensure project deliverables meet requirements and quality standards within constraints.
12. Work with stakeholders to manage scope changes, delays, and variances, and prepare necessary documentation.
13. Operate independently with sound judgment, managing resources and activities across teams.
14. Identify and mitigate potential risks proactively, managing risk and issue logs.
15. Perform other duties as assigned.

What you will have :

• 5+ years of experience in Payments projects, covering both Business and Technology aspects
• 10+ years of project management experience in the Canadian financial services industry, working with cross-functional teams
• Solid understanding of technology concepts including software development lifecycle, APIs, testing, etc.
• Experience with Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies
• Proficiency with JIRA & Confluence tools
• PMP, PRINCE2, and Agile certifications preferred
• Strong skills in issue, risk, and decision management tools
• Ability to handle complex projects with many moving parts
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills
• Strong business acumen
• Effective collaboration, communication, presentation, and influencing skills
• Familiarity with Canada Payments business and capabilities

Salary Range : $110,000 - $125,000

The salary depends on market conditions, knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
