As the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the overall planning, organization, control, and direction of all projects, ensuring completion within time, budget, and safety standards. Your daily responsibilities include providing safety leadership to the project team and subcontractors; planning, scheduling, and controlling daily activities; managing prime contracts and subcontracts; negotiating and awarding subcontracts; managing project budgets and billings; overseeing contract administration of RFIs, Submittals, Change Orders; and maintaining positive relations and communication with clients, consultants, architects, and subcontractors.
To succeed as the Senior Project Manager – Heavy Civil, you should have 10+ years of experience in Heavy Civil, Water/Wastewater Construction. An education in Civil Engineering is preferred, along with established experience at a Project Manager level. Valued certifications include P.Eng, GSC, and/or PMP. You should have strong knowledge of the local market and experience managing Water/Waste Water Construction projects valued between 10-100 million. A forward-thinking attitude, technical skills, and people management abilities are essential.
