The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with experience in construction coordination and design-build (ex : P3) project delivery models to lead the implementation of signage and wayfinding for large-scale healthcare environments.

In this role, you will serve as Cygnus’ primary representative within complex construction projects, managing program execution from design through occupancy over multi-year, multi-phase schedules.

You’ll liaise directly with construction managers, architects, general contractors, health authorities, and internal teams—ensuring clarity, coordination, and delivery excellence for signage and wayfinding systems in some of Canada’s most complex institutional environments.

We are open to full-time (hybrid) applicants, with preference for candidates based in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the day-to-day project lead and Cygnus’ main point of contact for assigned healthcare facility projects.
• Coordinate with general contractors, construction managers, architects, engineering teams, and client representatives—especially within P3 or progressive design-build delivery models.
• Lead planning, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management for signage and wayfinding implementation across multi-phase hospital projects.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation : meeting minutes, reports, change orders, and client communications.
• Support signage tendering and vendor coordination—oversee samples and shop drawings submittals, issue RFI responses and site instructions, attend site meetings, and conduct deficiency reviews.
• Track project financials and contribute to internal forecasting, invoicing, and reporting while co-leading coordination of the project team to meet all deadlines and deliverables.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 8+ years of project management experience in construction, signage delivery, or institutional projects.

Proven success in healthcare, design-build, or CM-led project environments is expected.

Strong understanding of construction workflows, submittals, and change management.

Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams.

Skills & Attributes

Highly organized and able to manage multiple concurrent project phases.

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including with construction managers, internal teams, and client teams.

Self-directed, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and within cross-functional teams.

Technical Tools

Proficient in Google Workspace and Mac OS.

Expertise with software and tools relevant to submittals, markups, and punchlist workflows (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, Aconex).

Assets

Experience delivering signage and wayfinding programs in institutional environments.

Demonstrated understanding of signage and wayfinding planning— including message schedules, graphic intent, location plans, and user navigation strategies.

Working knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., AODA, CSA) and evidence-based design principles in healthcare.

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and InDesign).

Familiarity with signage design, fabrication, and installation processes.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Salary : $80,000–$110,000 CAD, commensurate with experience.
