The Project Manager will be involved in all stages of a project’s life cycle (i.e., Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring and Control, and Closure) for consulting services related to mining projects. Most components of this role will relate to engineering and/or environmental consulting scopes. The role will focus on areas such as mine engineering design, environmental permitting, field investigations, desktop analyses, feasibility studies, research, and more. The Project Manager will work closely with Project Coordinators and Technical Managers to ensure the correct delivery of projects within budget and schedule.

Responsibilities:
- Managing budgets, scope, schedules, resourcing, and client satisfaction while working closely with professionals from WSP's teams across Canada, supported by trained project coordinators.
- Familiarity with the project scope and objectives, as well as understanding each team member's role, to effectively coordinate activities.
- Use project management tools, methods, and best practices to plan and manage projects aligning with stakeholder expectations and business needs.
- This role is client-facing; strong interpersonal skills, ethics, and integrity are essential.
- Be action-oriented, resourceful, and capable of holding self and others accountable.
What you can expect to do here:
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Science, Environmental, Business, or related discipline.
- A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in project management, including at least 3 years in consulting. Mining industry experience is preferred or considered an asset.
- Proficiency in both English and French.
- Experience with project financial tracking and change management related to scopes of work.
- Understanding and adherence to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMI).
- Experience in identifying and mitigating project risks and developing risk registers.
- Expertise in project planning, tracking, and analysis (e.g., using MS Excel or similar programs).
- Highly organized, adaptable, developing leadership skills, and calm under pressure.
- Experience managing multi-discipline teams of consultants.
- Proven focus on managing clients and subcontractors.
- PMI Project Management Professional certification is a desirable asset.
- Experience with MS Project and/or P6 Primavera.
