Overview

Our client in Toronto is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of high-voltage projects across Ontario. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and proven experience managing large, complex projects in the power and utilities sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project execution, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget targets are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage high-voltage transmission and distribution projects from initiation through to closeout.
• Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure successful delivery.
• Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory bodies to maintain effective communication and alignment.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality requirements.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues promptly to maintain project momentum and ensure continuity.
• Lead project teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and performance excellence.
• Provide regular reporting and updates to senior leadership and clients on project progress and financial performance.
• Ability to handle concurrent projects.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (P.Eng. designation an asset).
• 10+ years of progressive project management experience, with a focus on high-voltage transmission and distribution projects.
• Strong knowledge of utility standards, codes, and regulatory requirements in Ontario.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time, on budget, and to quality standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• PMP certification is considered an asset.
