AtkinsRéalis Canada Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager Consultant to lead large international airport programs.

You will provide specialist project management expertise, coordinate with program leaders, and manage contractor performance, ensuring delivery on scope, schedule, cost, and risk. You will engage with diverse stakeholders, coordinate permits and approvals, and drive quality and safety throughout all project phases.

Qualifications

  • Typically, a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in project/program management.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in large international airport projects or equivalent infrastructure programs.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing teams to deliver complex projects and programs.
  • Strong stakeholder reporting and decision-making support skills.

  • Provides specialist project management expertise.
  • Collaborates with Senior Project Managers and Construction Managers to support the Program Lead.
  • Manages contractor performance and escalates decisions as needed.
  • Interfaces with internal and external stakeholders to align consultations and approvals.
  • Coordinates permits, approvals, and site logistics with the contractor.
  • Oversees delivery in line with scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk.
  • Applies change control procedures and escalates decisions.
  • Coordinates reviews, inspections, and approvals across design, safety, quality, environment and security.
  • Supports procurement and contract management activities.
  • Coaches and mentors project staff.

AtkinsRéalis is hiring a Senior Project Manager Consultant with proven experience supporting large scale airport or equivalent infrastructure projects with a focus on GHG initiatives.. The Senior Project Manager Consultant will support a transformative large scale airport program and will be part of a high-performing project team based in the west end of Toronto.

Your role
  • Provides specialist project management expertise.
  • Works collaboratively alongside the other Senior Project Managers and Construction Managers to support the Program Lead.
  • Works with the Program Lead to manage the performance of the contractor and to elevate the necessary decisions.
  • Interfaces with various internal and external stakeholder groups to align the necessary consultations and approvals.
  • Works with the contractor to coordinate the required permits, approvals, and consents as well as to coordinate site logistics.
  • Oversees the delivery of the works in line with scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk requirements.
  • Coordinates the effective application of change control procedures and escalates decisions as required.
  • Works collaboratively with the wider program team to coordinate reviews, inspections, and approvals incl. design, health and safety, quality, environmental, security, etc.
  • Works collaboratively with the wider team to coordinate procurement activities and contract management activities.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and supporting the career development of project staff.
About you
  • Recognized degree and professional designation in a relevant field considered an asset.
  • Typically, a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in project/program management.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in large international airport projects or equivalent infrastructure programs.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing teams to deliver complex projects and programs.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing stakeholder relationships and providing reporting to enable effective decision making.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management and/or applicable technical areas to deliver complex projects.
  • Strong technical capability in all project phases, including design, planning, construction, operations, and maintenance preferably large program/projects.
  • Good stakeholder engagement and communication skills including the ability to facilitate meetings/workshops with groups of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work on site Monday to Friday weekly from the project office.

Compensation & Employment

Expected compensation for this role is between Pay Range $140,000 - $190,000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
