Qualifications

  • 10+ years of construction experience, preferably in multi-family projects.
  • 5+ years in wood frame, residential construction, or concrete tower (mid-highrise).
  • At least 10 years of direct construction project management experience.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in construction, building technology, or engineering.
  • Gold Seal Constructor or PMP designation, or working towards it.
  • Proven leadership in project management and team support.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Outlook, Excel, Word, and ProCore.
  • Understanding of contract administration fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of OH&S regulations and building codes.
  • Success in project delivery and management methodologies.
  • Strong negotiation, diplomacy, and conflict resolution skills.

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of projects, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals. They may oversee multiple projects and provide oversight and input outside their assigned tasks. The role also involves leadership and mentorship of the organization's project management team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing all phases of construction projects
  • Assisting the Development Team in design development and constructability review in a vertically integrated project
  • Defining the scope, goals, and deliverables of projects
  • Leading the planning and implementation of projects, including client and consultant coordination
  • Developing and monitoring comprehensive project plans
  • Managing budgets and resource allocation throughout the project lifecycle
  • Tendering and awarding scopes of work using pre-approved subcontracts

The successful candidate will be a strong project manager with analytical problem-solving skills, clear communication and writing abilities, customer-focused approach, adaptability, and positive response to change.
