As an experienced Senior Project Manager in the Civil & Infrastructure team at Pomerleau Construction, you will play a key role at the heart of the Urban Earthworks business unit. Leading large-scale construction and infrastructure projects—some exceeding $200 million—you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, engineers, contractors, and customers to ensure flawless project execution. You'll benefit from professional coaching and specialized services from our support departments, such as environment, quality, and insurance, allowing you to focus on what matters most: project management.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with team members, trade partners, consultants, and clients to achieve project goals and vision.
  • Support your project management teams in developing and driving construction schedules to meet completion dates and milestones.
  • Apply your financial management expertise to plan, manage, and adhere to project budgets, costs, and purchasing.
  • Share your knowledge and serve as a role model through mentorship opportunities within the project team.
  • Manage project risks to minimize potential issues.

Compile and complete company-wide project reports.

  • Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety, and Environmental Protection on your projects.
  • This role could be for you if you have

    • 10+ years of experience in Project Management within the construction industry.
    • A university degree or technology diploma in engineering, or a combination of education and industry experience.
    • Professional proficiency in French.
    • Exceptional leadership, organizational skills, influence, problem-solving abilities, and resilience to ensure project success amidst challenges.
    • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, financial management, building codes, and legislation.
    • A commitment to quality and health & safety best practices.
    • Experience with scheduling software; knowledge of P6 is a strong asset.
