Our client is a leading ICI construction company based in Burlington, ON, delivering institutional, commercial, and industrial projects across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. With a strong reputation for quality builds and collaborative project delivery, they are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee complex projects and play a key leadership role in their continued growth.

Position Overview

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction through to closeout, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of ICI construction, and proven experience managing large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution of ICI construction projects ranging from $10M to $100M+.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and strong relationships.
  • Manage project teams, including site staff, subcontractors, and consultants, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Oversee the preparation and administration of project schedules, budgets, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards on all job sites.
  • Conduct risk assessments and proactively resolve project issues to avoid delays or cost overruns.
  • Collaborate with estimating and pre-construction teams during project pursuit and award.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to Project Managers, Coordinators, and Site Superintendents.
  • Drive value engineering, innovative solutions, and best practices to achieve project and client success.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive project management experience in the ICI construction industry.
  • Proven success delivering projects $10M+ in size, ideally within institutional or commercial sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, scheduling, budgeting, and project management methodologies.
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar).
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and client management skills.
  • Ability to lead diverse project teams and foster collaboration across stakeholders.
  • Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • PMP designation, Gold Seal Certification, or equivalent credentials considered an asset.
