AtkinsRéalis Canada Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager for Baggage Handling Systems to lead a major airport infrastructure program in the west end of Toronto.

The role requires a proven PM track record on large-scale airport or equivalent projects and involves coordinating across design, construction, health and safety, quality, environmental, and security requirements. Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or related field; professional designation asset.
• 10+ years of professional project/program management experience.
• 5+ years on large international airport projects or baggage handling/related infrastructure.
• Experience leading teams to deliver complex programs in operating environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and reporting to enable decision-making.
• Expertise across design, planning, construction, operations and maintenance of large programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist project management expertise.
• Collaborate with Senior PMs and Construction Managers to support the Program Lead.
• Manage contractor performance and escalate decisions as needed.
• Coordinate stakeholder consultations and approvals.
• Ensure permits, approvals, and site logistics are managed with the contractor.
• Oversee scope, schedule, cost, quality and risk delivery.
• Apply change control procedures and coordinate reviews and approvals.
• Coordinate reviews, inspections and approvals with design, HSE, quality and security teams.
• Coordinate procurement and contract management activities.
• Coach, mentor and support staff development.

AtkinsRéalis is hiring a Senior Project Manager - Baggage Handling Systems with proven experience supporting large scale airport or equivalent major infrastructure programs. The Senior Project Manager - Baggage Handling Systems will support a transformative airport infrastructure project and will be part of a high-performing project team based in the west end of Toronto.

Your role

• Your role Provides specialist project management expertise.
• Works collaboratively alongside other Senior Project Managers and Construction Managers to support the Program Lead.
• Works with the Program Lead to manage contractor performance and elevate necessary decisions.
• Interfaces with various internal and external stakeholder groups to align required consultations and approvals.
• Works with the contractor to coordinate required permits, approvals, consents, and site logistics.
• Oversees the delivery of works in line with scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk requirements.
• Coordinates the effective application of change control procedures and escalates decisions as required.
• Works collaboratively with the wider program team to coordinate reviews, inspections, and approvals, including design, health and safety, quality, environmental and security requirements.
• Works collaboratively with the wider team to coordinate procurement activities and contract management activities.
• Coaches, mentors, and supports the career development of staff.

About you

• Recognized degree and professional designation in a relevant field (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering) is considered an asset.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in project/program management.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in large international airport projects or equivalent infrastructure programs related to baggage handling or similar systems.
• Demonstrated experience in managing teams to deliver complex projects and programs within an operating environment.
• Demonstrable experience in managing stakeholder relationships and providing reporting to enable effective decision-making.
• Demonstrated expertise in project management and/or applicable technical areas to deliver complex projects.
• Strong technical capability across all project phases, including design, planning, construction, operations, and maintenance, preferably on large programs/projects.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings/workshops with groups of stakeholders.

Expected compensation for this role is between Pay Range $140,000 - $190,000 annually.
