Position Title: Senior Project Manager
Reports To: AVP, Individual Wealth Operations, Client Experience and Digital Transformation
Department : Individual Wealth
Term: Permanent Full-Time
Work Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.
The Opportunity: Equitable is growing! We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our Individual Wealth team! They are responsible for the full delivery of projects, and risk mitigation for any identified setbacks. Communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Lead the implementation of Individual Wealth Projects for the organization . What you will be doing:
- Lead and facilitate project planning by effectively monitoring project updates, risks, and escalations and deliver projects of varying complexity
- Work in a variety of methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and implement initiatives consistent with business needs
- Manage the budget of large project initiatives and oversees tendering process, including analysis and selection of final vendors or service providers
- Oversee management of budget for projects/initiatives
- Apply analytical thinking and problem solving to resolve project obstacles and manage efficiencies in delivery
- Drive resolution of risks and issues related to project milestones / goals and escalates to management as required
- Work closely with senior leaders and (potentially) external partners to develop project strategy and provide consultation to technical and non-technical audiences
- Adherence to project management framework through engagement of key stakeholders
- Prioritize decisions on high impact production issues on behalf of other team members to maintain project budget and timing
- Champion implementation of improvements to existing processes, procedures, and tasks
- Facilitates planning and estimation of initiatives
- Work with cross-functional teams in planning and implementation of mission critical business initiatives
- Manage interdependencies and prioritise initiatives based on business drivers and outcomes
- Identify risks and build mitigation plans
- Build and monitor change management and adoption plans in collaboration with business owners
- Tracks milestones and deliverables and provides management metrics and reporting.
- Identifies and leads resolution of risks and issues related to project milestones / goals, including escalation to management as required.
- Conducts phase reviews and obtains all necessary sign offs
- Monitor the strategic business outcomes in collaboration with sponsors and business owners
- Provides informal consulting and training of delivery methodologies to other staff members to ensure participation and awareness.

- Contemporary project management certifications.
