Job Title : Senior Project Manager – State Government Court Modernization

Employment Type : Contract (W2)

About the Project :

An Enterprise IT Organization is supporting a large-scale court modernization effort for a state government . Unlike centralized court systems, this state operates with independent courts , which presents challenges in standardizing data, processes, and systems across jurisdictions.

This initiative will implement a statewide Case Management System (CMS) , an eFiling platform , and a central Integration Hub and Data Repository to enable streamlined operations, data access, and reporting.

Position Overview :

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with proven experience in legal technology, court systems, and case management implementations . This PM will support projects aligned with court modernization efforts, working closely with enterprise IT teams and court stakeholders .

The ideal candidate will be self-directed , capable of managing multi-stakeholder environments , and experienced in leading projects involving complex political and technical dynamics.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead the execution of court modernization projects, including CMS, eFiling, and data integration initiatives.
• Coordinate efforts between enterprise IT teams, external vendors, and court stakeholders.
• Support the system selection process and manage vendor relationships.
• Oversee project scope, timelines, risks, and budgets using Planview or similar tools.
• Communicate effectively across decentralized court systems and technical teams.
• Proactively identify risks and escalate as appropriate.
• Ensure alignment with transformation goals and drive forward progress in a politically nuanced environment.

Required Qualifications :

• 8+ years of Project Management experience, with 3+ years focused on legal, court, or justice technology projects .
• Strong background in Case Management Systems and / or eFiling platforms .
• Experience working on government or public sector IT projects.
• Proven track record managing cross-functional teams and complex integrations.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and risk mitigation skills.
• Familiarity with project tracking tools , especially Planview .

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience with decentralized or multi-jurisdictional court systems.
• Knowledge of court operations, judicial procedures, or legal data systems.
• Background in system integration or public sector data governance initiatives.
• Primarily remote , with potential travel or onsite meetings in Tennessee .
• Independent, proactive work style with strong collaboration skills.
• Core hours aligned with Central Time (CT) .
