Job description

Job Title: Senior Project Manager – Energy Storage System

Job Description

This position involves regular communication with customers to support our client’s energy storage system projects. The candidate will engage with customers daily to understand technical requirements and deployment schedules during project execution. Collaboration with the HQ product and manufacturing teams is essential to oversee project progress.

The role includes direct interaction with customers to address technical questions and guide installation and commissioning processes. The candidate will work with the Service team and system solution center to prepare technical documents for on-site modifications or retrofitting. Frequent travel to customer sites (up to 50%) is required to provide technical support during project execution. This is a remote position reporting to the Managing Director of Americas, Energy Storage, and is part of the sales group.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 7 years of experience in the renewable energy industry.
2. At least 7 years in an engineering role within EPC, energy storage, battery manufacturing, or system integration.
3. Minimum of 5 years of direct project management experience, with strong customer communication skills.
4. Deep knowledge of PV and battery system installation, construction, labor estimation, and site layouts.
5. Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar software for engineering drawings.
6. Proficiency in MS Project or similar for project scheduling.
7. Understanding of local codes and regulations including NFPA, NEC/UL, Electrical Safety, IBC, etc.
8. Strong technical writing skills for drafting instructions and guidance.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Mandarin language skills are a plus.
11. Experience with power conversion or battery systems is a plus.
12. Self-motivated, team-oriented, quick learner.
13. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
14. PMP certification required.
