Job summary

A growing biotech company is seeking a highly organized Senior Project Manager in Toronto. In this role, you will coordinate project timelines and support cross-functional teams to ensure operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in project coordination within the biotech or pharmaceutical industries, along with strong communication skills and proficiency in project management tools. Must be able to work on-site at least three days a week.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in project coordination or administrative roles within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Strong proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of European pharmaceutical regulations is a strong asset.

Job description

We are partnered with a growing, commercial stage biotech focused on the development and commercialization their rare disease therapy for European markets. We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Senior Project Manager to support cross-functional projects spanning project coordination with high-level administrative support to ensure operational efficiency and compliance. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and be comfortable managing multiple priorities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor project timelines, deliverables, and milestones across multiple departments and European markets.
  • Support cross-functional teams by preparing documentation such as project plans, Gantt charts, reports, and presentations.
  • Organize and facilitate team meetings, manage agendas and minutes, and track action items.
  • Assist with vendor management, contract processing, budget tracking, and invoice handling.
  • Ensure project documentation aligns with GxP standards and regulatory compliance requirements.

Job Requirements

  • University degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in project coordination or administrative roles within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Trello).
  • Knowledge of European pharmaceutical regulations (e.g., EMA, ICH-GCP) is a strong asset.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to work onsite at least three days per week.
