A leading construction company in Canada is seeking an experienced project manager to oversee multiple heavy civil construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience, strong leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of health and safety regulations. Manage and oversee multiple heavy civil construction projects from start to finish
Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
Secure necessary permits and approvals.
Assess risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Understand estimate costs, help and manage project budgets, monitor and ensure projects are completed within budget.
Ensure projects are completed on time and to the required quality standards.
Lead project teams and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
Mentor project coordinators and junior level staff to facilitate their development.
Assign roles and responsibilities for junior level staff.
Coordinate and liaise with external stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, venders, and government agencies.
Monitor project performance and identify areas for improvement.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to project plans and compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor or management to support the overall objectives of the company.
