Senior Project Manager

Job Overview :

Our client, a leading organization in the infrastructure and construction sector, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and manage multiple complex heavy civil construction projects in the Timmins area. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-impact infrastructure projects while mentoring junior staff and contributing to strategic project success.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead and manage multiple civil infrastructure projects from initiation to completion.

Develop and manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and resource plans.

Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety and quality standards.

Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and government agencies.

Oversee permitting and regulatory approval processes.

Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Provide leadership and mentorship to junior project team members.

Proactively identify risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.

Drive continuous improvement and performance optimization across projects.

Communicate project progress and updates to key stakeholders.

Support broader organizational goals through additional responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications :

8+ years of project management experience in road building or heavy civil construction.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and industry best practices.

Budgeting and cost control expertise.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

Ability to motivate teams, delegate tasks, and mentor junior staff.

Strong organizational and prioritization skills.

Proficiency in project management tools and software is an asset.
