A leading company in Mississauga is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee complex multidisciplinary construction projects. The ideal candidate will lead teams, manage financial performance, and report to senior leadership, requiring extensive experience in the field and strong communication skills.
CIMA+ is currently seeking applications for a Senior Project Manager for our client facing project management group in Mississauga, Ontario. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be called to provide advanced project and stakeholder management for complex multidisciplinary construction projects spanning project inception, planning, design, procurement, and construction oversight through commissioning to project close-out. The role will include the reporting of financial and performance results, including schedule, safety, human resources, and other management issues to senior project leadership. Responsibilities * Act as the single point of contact on multi-disciplinary projects and lead the delivery of a team of professionals (internal and external) assigned to the projects. * Provide project delivery expertise and leadership to the client and project teams * Manage projects from inception to completion. Assesses financial forecasts, schedule, scope requirements/changes. * Accountable for project financial performance, contract and schedule management, and quality control and assurance. * Monitoring and control of project activities (forecasting dates, updating hours on tasks, earned value, percentage complete, resource management/over allocation). * Monitor and communicate project progress against the project plan, requirements, quality measures and milestones, and take appropriate action to minimize the impact of deviations. * Support the development of strategic goals and objectives. Identify required resources, direct and lead implementation to deliver goals. * Reporting to the Department Director, manage proposals, develop technical and financial packages to secure new clients. * Ability to develop business relationships with Clients. Attend proposal interviews, negotiations with clients over new work. Develop Contracts Profile * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited post-secondary institute Must be a licensed Professional Engineer, or Architect, in Ontario * Minimum of 10 years of experience, 5 of which in Canada in a project management leadership position delivering large[1]scale transit, buildings, facilities, or healthcare projects in an industrial, commercial, or institutional setting. * Certification in Project Management, such as PMP, would be an asset. * Experience across the project life cycle managing design execution and construction oversight required. * Experience in alternative delivery modes such as Design-Build, Progressive Design Build, Integrated Project Delivery would be an asset. * Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with exceptional initiative and attention to detail. * Sound professional judgement, initiative, and ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines in a fast paced, deadline oriented and dynamic environment. * Solid leadership skills, superior written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prepare and/or review written documentation such as project plans, reports, proposals is essential. * Ability to successfully led a team and collaborative work within a multi-disciplinary team. * Strong interpersonal skills that support building internal/external relationships including communication and interfacing with VP and C-suite. * Interested in coaching and mentoring junior staff. * Fluency in the English language is essential; ability to conduct business in French would be an asset.
