Job Description

As Senior Project Manager, you will:

  • Assist in the design and construction process, including submittal and RFI procedures, and coordinate with the City on processing Site Applications and permits.
  • Transcribe meeting minutes and action items, ensuring closure.
  • Ensure project compliance with client document controls and file specifications.
  • Administer project closeout procedures and turnover documentation.
  • Collaborate regularly with internal teams and design-build contractors.
  • Manage submittal approvals, change management documentation, RFIs, change orders, meetings, punch-lists, observation reports, and participate in commissioning.
  • Oversee the transition of close-out documentation to operations.
  • Establish and manage project budgets and schedules throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with authorities such as City, MOE, MOL, TSSA, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes.

Qualifications

  • At least 6 years of experience as a Project Manager, supervising complex construction projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
  • PMP certification, capable of managing projects from initiation to closeout.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance.
  • Effective management skills for staff, clients, and team members.
  • Experience with construction contracts like CCDC2, CCDC3, CCDC5A, and 5B.
  • Understanding of building and construction codes.
  • Negotiation skills with consultants and contractors.
  • Experience as an Owner's representative and Trusted Advisor is advantageous.
  • Ground-up construction experience preferred.
  • Schedule management skills are a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Project or P6.
  • Excellent communication skills with stakeholders.
