Job summary

McElhanney is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex design and construction projects as an Owner’s Representative. You will guide projects from planning through completion, building strong client relationships and mentoring others in a collaborative, nationwide practice.

This role offers flexibility across multiple Lower Mainland offices or Kelowna, with travel to project sites, and a focus on delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions for government and diverse clients.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in a relevant field (Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Architecture).
  • 10+ years of experience in project management of infrastructure projects.
  • Proven ability to lead projects with client priorities front and center.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience working with diverse interested parties including Indigenous groups.
  • PMP or PMI certification (asset).
  • Experience working with government clients (asset).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MS Project; strong presentation/writing skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to split time between office and site.

  • Support public consultation and Indigenous engagement on behalf of clients.
  • Coordinate with consultants, utilities, and interested parties to achieve project goals.
  • Travel occasionally for project work.

The Opportunity

Join our growing Project Management team as a Senior Project Manager, where you’ll lead complex design and construction projects as an Owner’s Representative. In this role, you’ll work closely with clients to bring their vision to life while guiding projects from early planning through to completion.

Location:

This role can be based in one of our Lower Mainland offices (Vancouver, Surrey or Langley), or Kelowna, BC.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring
  • A degree or diploma in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Architecture)
  • 10+ years of experience in project management of infrastructure projects

What Can We Offer You?

The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $165,000 per annum. McElhanney offers fair compensation that is commensurate with the individual’s education, experience, skills, and professional qualifications. The posted base salary/wage range is representative of the required level of qualifications and experience for the position as noted in the job posting. The salary offered will be based on the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.
