We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience and be well-versed in heavy civil and structural construction disciplines. Experience with structures (buildings) and process mechanical systems will be considered an asset.
Only experienced construction professionals will be considered for this position.
Headquartered in Surrey, BC (Cloverdale area).
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop a cost-effective plan and schedule for project completion, following a logical resource utilization pattern.
- Minimize exposure and risk by implementing safety standards and quality assurance controls.
- Coordinate work of subcontractors across various phases of multiple projects.
- Oversee the performance of all trade contractors and review engineering drawings to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
- Administer construction contracts properly and obtain all necessary permits and licenses.
- Supervise assistant managers and superintendents, review their reports, address difficulties, and correct safety or quality violations.
- Track and control construction schedules and costs to ensure projects are completed within time and budget.
- Report progress and necessary plan modifications to owners, engineers, and portfolio managers. Plan, implement, track, and close out projects. Conduct project meetings.
- Manage daily operational and tactical aspects of multiple construction projects in a supervisory capacity.
- Manage client interactions and expectations, directly or through supervision.
- Accurately forecast revenue, profitability, and project costs.
- Achieve or exceed revenue goals for projects.
- Generate and distribute regular internal and external project reports using company software (Viewpoint).
- Proactively identify scope changes and implement appropriate measures.
- Manage project scope and revenue changes.
- Administer the Submittal Review process between subcontractors/suppliers and the owner or owner's representative.
- Review field inspection reports from consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain Contract Execution Tracking Log.
- Keep management informed about project status and issues affecting client relations.
- Travel periodically and for short durations to out-of-town projects.
