Senior Project Manager

Position Summary

Manage the design and construction of capital improvements and major infrastructure projects for New York University's Planning and Construction Division to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with approved budgets, schedules, and quality standards. Manage consultants, contractors, and other vendors to optimize financial results and quality performance. Maintain the highest standards of ethics and integrity.

Qualifications

  1. Required Education: Bachelor's degree required.
  2. Preferred Education: Degree in architecture, engineering, project management, or construction management preferred. Degrees in interior design or business administration may be considered if complemented by experience in construction project management.
  3. Required Experience: 10 years' relevant experience in construction, mixed design, and project management. In-depth engineering knowledge and expertise in the design and installation of building electrical systems and fire alarm systems.
  4. Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Competence with MS Office products and other applications supporting the job; contract and vendor management; budget & schedule management; effective decision-making.
  5. Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Prioritization & time management; interpersonal & customer relations; teaming; written & verbal communication; problem solving & analytical skills.

Additional Information

The annual base salary range for this position is USD $130,000.00 to USD $170,000.00, in compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act. Factors such as scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market considerations influence the offer. This range is base pay only and excludes incentives or bonuses.
