Your role

Join our Alberta team as a Senior Project Manager.

We seek an experienced Senior Project Manager who can act as a trusted advisor to clients and build strong, lasting relationships with senior leaders. You should have in-depth construction knowledge and experience leading complex project teams across various delivery methodologies. Experience leading civil infrastructure projects with significant complexity is required. Your expertise will help position our team for upcoming capital healthcare and education projects throughout Alberta, particularly in Grand Prairie.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate company values and cultural behaviors.
  • Consult directly with clients and stakeholders to successfully complete long-term care and healthcare projects of varying size, scope, and complexity.
  • Understand and advocate for your clients’ best interests regarding project outcomes.
  • Manage client relationships and adapt to new or changing requirements.
  • Lead the development of project plans, including defining objectives, success criteria, schedules, budgets, procurement, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Lead procurement efforts and contract negotiations with architects, contractors, and third-party consultants.
  • Manage multiple project delivery teams through procurement, risk, cost, schedule, scope, and stakeholder management.
  • Oversee team performance and escalate issues as needed.
  • Provide financial oversight, including forecasts, cost tracking, and regular reporting.
  • Ensure quality deliverables and high client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years’ capital project management experience, including at least 5 years leading large-scale projects of varying scope and complexity.
  • Experience in healthcare and/or education projects is highly desirable; municipal and other building construction experience is relevant.
  • Degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, construction management, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project management models, financial management, building codes, contract types, and legislation.
  • Professional credentials such as PMP, CET, Registered Architect, or similar are advantageous.
  • Proven leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to influence others and resolve issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
