Your Role
Join our team as a Senior Project Manager in the Atlantic business unit!
We’re looking for outstanding project leaders who are organized, have a keen eye for details and have led and managed complex projects from start to finish – on time and on budget with our Atlantic business unit.
This highly rewarding role will see you lead project management teams to deliver various projects across Newfoundland and Labrador, from commercial buildings and fit-ups, social organizations, infrastructure, water and wastewater as well as a variety of projects within municipalities and Indigenous communities.

We are looking for a driven, self-motivated, and collaborative Senior Project Manager who is passionate about leading projects and fostering strong, enduring relationships with clients, senior leaders, and key decision-makers.

Responsibilities
- Inspire and lead multiple high-performing project teams, driving excellence in project delivery and cultivating a collaborative, empowered team culture.
- Provide strategic project leadership, guiding clients through every phase—from initial setup to execution and into operations, ensuring success at every step.
- Act as a trusted partner, applying your expertise in design, construction, and operations to help our clients navigate the complexities of capital projects, delivering results that align with their vision.
- Be the key connector with your leadership and communication skills, bringing together diverse teams to deliver outstanding, community-focused projects that leave a lasting legacy.
- Build lasting relationships, becoming a trusted advisor and relationship manager for key clients, nurturing partnerships that drive mutual success.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the Designated Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers on your projects.
- Oversee the control of project-related documents to ensure your project management teams deliver all work in accordance with Colliers Project Leaders Quality Management System and procedures.
- Participate in the development of our staff, participating in mentoring and developing Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers reporting to you.
- Shape the future of our business, working with our leadership team to contribute to the strategic growth of our business unit.
Qualifications
- Proven track record with 8+ years of project management experience representing owners to multiple stakeholders in the delivery of projects of varying size and scope in a range of sectors.
- Deep expertise in design, construction, and operations, with a strong understanding of how to navigate the challenges of institutional projects.
- Strong knowledge of various types of construction methodologies, project management models and financial management.
- Effective client management, people management leadership and organizational skills matched with the ability to effectively influence others.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience managing project budgets, forecasts, and ensuring cost-effective delivery.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or an equivalent designation is highly valued.
- Expert in client and stakeholder management, with the ability to influence key decision-makers and resolve a variety of challenges.
- Educational background in Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven success in business development, with experience closing new deals and leading client interviews.
- Exceptional detail orientation, organizational skills and the ability to prioritize competing tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project), word processing (Word) and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications.
- Experience working with First Nations and local authorities in Newfoundland and Labrador is considered a strong asset.
