Job summary

Randstad Canada is seeking a Senior Project Manager/Leader to drive critical infrastructure and telecommunications projects in a 24x7 public safety environment. Lead cross-disciplinary teams, manage multi-year vendor contracts, and ensure seamless takeovers of voice and radio systems without interrupting emergency operations.

Responsibilities include governance, budgeting, and overseeing the implementation of trunked radio and voice logging solutions, with frequent travel to provincial dispatch

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Program/Project Management using PMI standards and the SDLC.
• Experience with PSAP equipment, CCS and trunked radio systems.
• Proven ability to procure and complete complex projects from concept to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Governance: develop integrated project plans, charters and schedules.
• Financial: forecast, estimate and reconcile large project budgets.
• Technical: oversee voice communications, trunked radio, paging and logging implementations.
• Vendor management: negotiate multi-year contracts and coordinate with Legal/Procurement.
• Risk mitigation: identify risks in 24x7 environments and propose action plans.
• Stakeholder engagement: brief executives with progress reports and updates.
• Operational coordination: travel to dispatch centres for modernization efforts.
