Job summary

NB Power in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada is seeking an Engineer V to lead a cross-discipline team through design and construction of the Mactaquac Life Achievement Project. You will oversee preliminary designs, coordinate external consultants, and ensure safety, environment, quality, efficiency, and compliance with standards.

The ideal candidate has a Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical engineering background with PE licensure in NB, eight years of mega-project experience, and a proven

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering (required).
• Registered Professional Engineer licensed in New Brunswick or eligible for immediate transfer.
• Eight years of experience with large hydraulic gate design and installation, large cranes, turbines, and related mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of discipline-specific engineers across all project phases.
• Review designs and oversee installation, commissioning of turbines, gates, cranes and mechanical systems.
• Provide field support during construction, manage RFIs, monitor contractor quality, and advise senior leadership.
