Job Overview:
The Senior Project Engineer - Marine Terminal may supervise several project personnel and/or subcontractors to achieve marine terminal installation project objectives. They coordinate with other parts of the organization and report directly to project management. The Senior Project Engineer may act as deputy Project Manager and be able to take over for the Project Manager at a particular stage of the project.
Base Salary Range: 130,600.00 - 165,400.00
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, or project management
- 5-8 years of engineering discipline experience with a major contractor or consultant in an office, primarily performing detailed engineering
- Good knowledge of discipline design techniques, analysis methods, and general workflow
- Preferably a registered professional engineer or member of a professional engineering society

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and review inputs from various engineering disciplines, departments, and subcontractors contributing to the engineering portion of a project
- Ensure the generation of deliverables, reports, and procedures required
- Support management of the engineering portion of the project as directed
- Use expertise to solve complex problems by identifying innovative solutions
- Manage time to meet objectives; forecast and plan resource requirements
- Assist in planning, organizing, coordinating, and controlling small projects by establishing policies, procedures, systems, and requirements
- Act as a liaison between the customer, project engineering manager, and engineering team, including third-party agencies and subcontractors
- Assist in preparing and implementing the Engineering Project Execution Plan (PEP)
- Assist in preparing the work-sharing Interface Plan & Scope Split Matrix
- Ensure all scopes of work are addressed, handover points are understood and agreed upon, avoiding scope gaps or overlaps
- Review the project plan and prepare subcontract scope packages for required work
- Attend engineering project readiness reviews as needed
- Coordinate and familiarize with all inputs and changes to the engineering project plan, scope, drawings, and specifications
- Facilitate logging and evaluating impacts of changes in the Desk Top Change Management System (DTCMS)
- Review scope of work documents, update scope of work documents, and assist in change order preparation
- Coordinate information flow between engineering and other functions to ensure timely receipt and delivery of design inputs
- Maintain and update document registers, ensuring timely distribution
- Document substantive communications and forward copies to the project manager
- Develop and monitor the closeout of technical queries to obtain missing information and clarify work scope
- Coordinate and progress site queries related to subcontracted works
- Review project and fabrication schedules for alignment
- Attend weekly progress meetings and prepare minutes
- Coordinate engineering and design work, including weight control information and updates
- Ensure procedures and calculations are submitted for customer review and approval, and monitor approvals
- Coordinate with the quality and procurement managers to ensure compliance and timely delivery of data and approvals
- Coordinate with production and offshore engineers to understand work progress and resolve constraints
- Keep the project engineering manager informed of all activities and concerns
- Monitor work progress, compile reports, and gather inputs for planning and forecasting
- Monitor KPIs and alert discipline leads to take corrective actions
- Participate in safety, operability, reliability studies, and workshops
- Participate in 3D model reviews and constructability reviews as needed
- Travel as necessary for meetings, interface resolution, and site visits
- Attend technical quality audits as required
