Job summary

AECOM’s Cultural Resources Team is seeking an experienced Project Archaeologist to support projects across Ontario, from planning to completion, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality client deliverables.

The successful candidate will lead project teams, manage scope, budget and schedule, liaise with clients and regulators, and mentor junior staff while expanding business development opportunities. Experience coordinating large field crews is essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years consulting experience, incl. 3+ years in PM leading archaeological projects.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario archaeological/heritage regulatory frameworks.
• Proven experience coordinating large field teams and planning fieldwork.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead cultural resource management projects from proposal through to final reporting.
• Oversee fieldwork logistics and multi-crew coordination.
• Apply archaeological methodologies to solve project challenges.
• QA/QC on reports; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with clients, regulators, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Mentor junior staff and review deliverables.
