Qualifications

• Five or more years of AS/400 or mainframe experience.
• Strong technical analysis ability.
• Proficiency in listed mainframe tools and languages.

• Experience in problem analysis, data mapping and use case modeling.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Analyze assigned folders and perform required developments;
• Optimize existing AS/400 processing to meet business needs;
• Interpret log files to detect and understand anomalies;
• Diagnose incidents and recommend effective remediation strategies;
• Translate business needs into clear, documented and adapted technical solutions;
• Participate in on-call support rotation;
• Collaborate with business partners and technical teams to ensure system stability.

Profile

• Have a minimum of five (5) years of experience with AS/400 or Mainframe environments;
• Possess a strong technical analysis ability;
• Be proficient in one or more of the following technologies: CBL/CBLLE, JCL, SQL/400, SQLCBL/SQLCBLLE, QMQRY, CL/CLLE, Data Queue, JIRA, ServiceNow, SFTP, DB2, Control-M and TAATOOL;
• Demonstrate the ability to translate business concepts into clear technical solutions;
• Experience in problem analysis, data mapping, use case modeling, and writing technical documentation;
• Demonstrate strong communication, collaboration, influence and conceptual understanding skills;
• Develop long-lasting relationships of trust with business partners;
• Demonstrate autonomy and creativity in problem solving;
• Contribute effectively to teamwork while adhering to established guidelines;
• Be available to provide on-call support on schedule, as well as available to work on weekends when required;
• Knowledge of the banking industry (an asset);

This position requires fluency in French and English for daily tasks, understanding documentation, and professional communication with customers, suppliers, and colleagues across Canada. French and English language skills are essential, both oral and written.
